What Kairophos handles
Kairophos uses Core Location while in use to obtain a location for local sunrise and sunset calculations. It does not request background location, continuously track location, or send coordinates to a Kairophos server. Raw location data and derived solar times are not persisted as a server-side profile.
Alarm preferences, a qualified local location context, and imported personal-audio metadata are stored on the device. Imported recordings are copied into the app’s private storage for local preview and are not uploaded or shared by Kairophos. You can remove an imported recording from its event’s Customize view.
Alarms and system services
Kairophos uses Apple’s AlarmKit to schedule the sunrise and sunset alarms that you enable. Apple’s operating-system services and permissions govern those alarms. Kairophos does not operate an account service, advertising service, analytics SDK, telemetry service, social feature, or HealthKit integration.
Network requests and dependencies
The app has no Kairophos backend or account login. Optional daylight reference links open through your normal browser. The release uses Apple system frameworks and bundled application resources; no third-party advertising or analytics SDK is included in the qualified product scope.
Support correspondence
If you email support, you voluntarily provide the information in that message and your email address. Wingtip Studio uses that correspondence to respond to your request and retains it only as reasonably needed for support, safety, legal, or record-keeping purposes under its email provider’s systems. Do not send passwords, payment details, or sensitive health information by email.
The Light We Saw — planned feature
The optional The Light We Saw experience is planned for a future Kairophos app update and is not part of the current public app. When released, it will let you select a photograph from your iPhone and create a sharing copy. The original will remain on the device until you explicitly choose a sharing destination or confirm an email handoff. Kairophos will re-encode the sharing copy without source GPS and other unnecessary photo metadata. Any approximate location, confirmed local time, or Instagram handle included in the composition will be supplied intentionally by you.
When released, independent sharing will use the native iOS sharing sheet and the destination you select. A submission to Wingtip Studio will be voluntary and require separate photographer consent plus limited permission for human review and possible republication if approved. Mail will be prepared for your review; you must tap Send, and Kairophos will not claim delivery, acceptance, or publication. Kairophos will not request or store Instagram credentials, publish automatically, or operate an unmoderated gallery.

Retention and deletion
There is no Kairophos account or server-side user profile to close. Removing imported audio from the app removes the app-owned recording and its local metadata. Removing the app from your device removes its local storage subject to normal operating-system backup and device-management behavior. Support correspondence remains with the email service until handled under the applicable mailbox-retention practices.
Website hosting
When you visit this website, the hosting and delivery provider may process standard technical request information such as an IP address, user agent, time, requested URL, and security-related event data. The final hosting provider’s terms and configured retention practices apply to that delivery data. This website does not intentionally request account creation, advertising identifiers, or health information.
Your choices
You can deny or later change Location access in iOS Settings, choose which reminders are enabled, remove imported audio, and contact support with questions about your data. For support, email wingtip.studio@gmail.com.
